Build interactive example for Redis Iris - #4205
Conversation
… diagram A seven-step tour of one agent request across all four Iris services, for the Iris launch. Business data enters through Data Integration, then Maya, the food delivery customer from the other Iris demos, asks the assistant to reorder last week's curry within 30 minutes and asks about the delivery fee. LangCache, Agent Memory, and Context Retriever each add one part of the answer, the model writes the reply, and a last step takes one service away to show only the part of the reply it changes. Each step links to that service's own interactive demo for depth. The stage is the architecture diagram from redis.io/iris: its four published versions, one per highlighted service, stacked and blended per step, with packets moving along routes traced from the drawing's dashes. The page is linked from the Iris overview. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Select POSTGRES or the Redis logo to open a window over the diagram with the sample rows (restaurants, customers, orders). Story rows are highlighted, and on step 1 Lotus Thai's avg_delivery_min changes from 25 to 45. Redis shows the same rows as JSON documents under their keys, without email. A ring on each shape's outline pulses on step 1. - Draw the Data Integration gear in 3D over the still art, turning one tooth a second as on redis.io/iris, dimmed with the drawing. - Add Maya to the diagram in its own style: the agent's disc with a person, a label, and a link to the agent that's lit on her steps. - Crossfade whole blended stacks between steps, so Agent Memory no longer flashes going from step 2 to step 3. - Remove the value tags from steps 2, 5, and 6. - Put the key above the reply as one chip per service, styled like its parts of the reply. Pointing at a chip or a part shows only that service's parts; selecting a chip keeps it so. - Use a stronger highlighter in four distinct hues: Data Integration is now teal and Context Retriever violet, so they no longer look alike. Adds a guided in-browser Redis Iris tour with the animated architecture diagram. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Low Risk
Documentation and static, client-side demo assets only; no changes to auth, APIs, or production runtime behavior.
Overview
Adds a Redis Iris interactive demo to the docs: a new page walks one illustrative agent request through Data Integration, Context Retriever, Agent Memory, and LangCache, with a final step that removes a service to show what breaks.
The experience is embedded via a new
iris-demoHugo shortcode that loads sharedcontext-retriever-demostyles plusiris-demo.css/ client script, uses cache-busted static assets, and mounts adata-iriswidget wired to diagram art underiris-diagram/and deep links to each service’s own demo (Data Integration still points at the overview). The UI covers an animated architecture stage, optional PostgreSQL table overlay, per-step narration, source-colored agent replies, and a “what if” comparison—all in the browser with no live Iris calls.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 0bc6976.
