What was hard: researching the Syntakt OS (#684) hit several tool traps that any ColdFire machine research will hit again, and no guide mentioned them.
What this changes: a short "Research a ColdFire OS image" section in
docs/ADD_A_MACHINE.md: REA cannot admit m68k targets (use Ghidra headless directly), Ghidra's Coldfire spec does not decodemovec(read the reset windows with an MC68020 import), how to pin a headless image's load base, why "no static reference" is not "free", the BSS-clear trap for appended code, and that the repository's packer can narrow the in-place depack margin. Stock-free.How checked:
