I recently upgraded to KDE Plasma 6.7 Beta and noticed that background blur stopped working in Alacritty. After digging into it, it turns out that Plasma 6.7 is turning to the
ext-background-effect-v1protocol.I saw that this is already supported on the master branch, so I've backported the relevant change over to v0.30.x branch.
Tested this locally with Alacritty (master branch) on Plasma 6.7 Beta, and the beautiful blur is back.
