Android Technical Lead at Midwest Tape, where I lead the mobile team building hoopla, a digital media platform for public libraries.
What I'm working on
- Architecture and technical direction for a ground-up rewrite of the hoopla Android and iOS apps on Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform.
- AI tooling adoption for the mobile team: testing agentic coding tools against real engineering problems and keeping the workflows that hold up.
- The D3 Stat Lab, a site that publishes a daily NCAA Power Index (NPI) and season simulations for Division III women's basketball. Source in scottpeterson.github.io.
- d3-schools, a Python package that maps every naming variant for the ~440 NCAA Division III schools across Massey, D3hoops, and NCAA stats to one canonical identity.

Data I keep for fun
Spreadsheets on NFL draft history and franchise trajectories, fantasy baseball batted-ball data, golf world rankings and major finishes, Division III basketball resumes and strength of schedule, books, and the marginal value of a burger.
