Distribution: setup-homecloud action, PyPI publishing, Codecov - #119
Conversation
…ntainers-homecloud, Codecov coverage Point docs and the in-repo action README at solinode/setup-homecloud@v1, now the canonical home of the action. Make integrations/testcontainers-python publishable (metadata, classifiers, dependency bounds, LICENSE) and add a Trusted Publishing workflow on testcontainers-python/v* tags. Have the go CI job write a coverage profile from the existing test run and upload it to Codecov (informational only), with codecov.yml and a README badge.

📝 Walkthrough
Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The changes are mostly documentation, CI coverage reporting and a new release workflow. Before the first PyPI release, harden the publish workflow by pinning actions and disabling credential persistence. Confirm the intended license identifier in the package metadata. Pre-merge checks |

Review comments at @.github/workflows/ci.yml:
- Line 46: Remove the `if: ${{ !cancelled() }}` condition from the Codecov
coverage upload step so its default success condition applies and it runs only
after successful tests. Do not add a separate test-results upload.
Review comments at @.github/workflows/pypi.yml:
- Line 20: Set persist-credentials to false in the actions/checkout step so the
checkout does not leave the GitHub token in local Git configuration.
- Line 50: Pin pypa/gh-action-pypi-publish and the other third-party actions in
this workflow to full commit SHAs instead of mutable refs, preserving their
existing versions and configuration.

…dentials in the PyPI build; pin the publish action
Three distribution pieces.
GitHub Action. The action is now published from its own repository, solinode/setup-homecloud (release v1.0.0, moving tag v1), so it can be listed on the Marketplace as "Setup HomeCloud". docs/integrations.md and integrations/github-action/README.md now recommend
uses: solinode/setup-homecloud@v1and say that repository is the canonical home; the in-repo copy stays as a mirror for action-test.yml, and the oldsolinode/homecloud/integrations/github-action@mainreference keeps working.PyPI. integrations/testcontainers-python is publishable as
testcontainers-homecloud0.1.0: description, AGPL-3.0-only with a LICENSE file in the sdist and wheel, classifiers, keywords, project URLs, and dependency bounds (testcontainers>=4.0,<5,boto3>=1.28,<2).python -m buildandtwine checkpass locally; the name is free on PyPI. New.github/workflows/pypi.ymlpublishes ontestcontainers-python/v*tags with Trusted Publishing (OIDC,environment: pypi, no stored token) after checking the tag matches the pyproject version. Docs now saypip install testcontainers-homecloud, with the git install as the fallback until the first release.Codecov. The go job's existing test run now writes
-coverprofile=coverage.out -covermode=atomic(no extra test run) and uploads it with codecov/codecov-action@v5 (fail_ci_if_error: false,CODECOV_TOKENsecret). codecov.yml makes project and patch statuses informational, comments on PRs, maps the Go module path tocli/, and ignores the embedded console build, test helpers, and non-Go directories. README gets a coverage badge.Manual steps still needed: publish the setup-homecloud release to the Marketplace, add the PyPI pending publisher (owner solinode, repo homecloud, workflow pypi.yml, environment pypi) and push
testcontainers-python/v0.1.0, and enable the repo on codecov.io / addCODECOV_TOKEN.Summary by CodeRabbit
testcontainers-homecloud. Tagged releases are configured for automated publishing.v1usage, and version-pinning options.
