Learn Python from absolute zero and build a strong programming foundation through 295+ focused concept demos, hands-on practice, workshops, and real-world projects. This course is designed for complete beginners. No prior programming experience or Python knowledge is required. We start from the very basics and progressively build your Python skills, from your first program to functions, files, modules, packages, OOP, and complete Python projects.
What you get
What you learn, and in what order
The Python keywords you will write
How every section is taught
Two ways to run the concept demos
Two ways to do the practice problems
Milestone Project 1: what you build
Both milestone projects
| Section | What you learn | Demos | Lessons |

Every section page is free to read on the course website - no sign-in, no enrolment.
Put your Python fundamentals into practice by building a command-line Expense Tracker using the concepts you have learned throughout the course.
Project files: Milestone Project 1: CLI Expense Tracker | Lessons: Website
Take the same project further instead of starting over. Refactor and upgrade it using classes, JSON persistence, error handling, better code organization, virtual environments, and a third-party package.

This course is built around focused concept demos. You will not just watch long theory lectures. You see each concept demonstrated with code, practise what you have learned, and then apply those skills through practice exercises, workshops, and milestone projects. The goal is to help you understand why Python works the way it does, not just memorize syntax.
By the end you will have gone from absolute beginner to building and upgrading real Python applications, with a foundation you can keep building on for automation, DevOps, web development, data, AI, and other areas of Python development.
Every section folder from 02 onward has the same three folders:
python-learn/: a runnable worked example for every concept.python-practice/: 60+ exercises to solve, with answers insolutions/.python-workshop/: 60+ bigger build-it-yourself exercises, with answers insolutions/.
Plus milestone-projects/ for the two projects, and pdfs/ for the slide decks.
01-Python-Environment-Setup holds only a README, because that section installs your tools rather than running code. 12-Virtual-Environments-and-Packaging has no python-workshop/, because that section is command-line work.
Every section's slide deck is in pdfs/, the same slides shown in the course.
- No programming experience required: No prior programming or Python knowledge is needed. We start from the absolute basics.
- Computer: A Windows, macOS, or Linux computer capable of running Python and VS Code.
- Internet connection: A stable connection is recommended for downloading Python, VS Code, course resources, and Python packages.
- VS Code: Recommended, and we install and configure it together in Section 01.
- Python: No prior installation or experience is required. We install and configure Python together in Section 01.
- Command line: No prior command-line experience is required. Basic terminal usage is introduced as needed.
- No prior language required: You do not need experience with Java, C, C++, JavaScript, or any other programming language.
- Complete beginners: Anyone with no prior programming or Python experience who wants to learn Python from absolute zero.
- Students and aspiring developers: Learners who want a strong Python foundation before moving into software development and more advanced topics.
- IT professionals: Professionals adding Python for automation, scripting, DevOps, cloud, backend development, or other technical work.
- Developers from other languages: Programmers who know another language and want Python's syntax, patterns, functions, modules, packages, and OOP.
- Future AI, ML, and data science learners: Learners moving into AI engineering, machine learning, generative AI, data science, or data analysis who need a solid Python foundation first.
- Hands-on learners: Students who prefer focused concept demos, coding practice, workshops, and building real applications over theory alone.
- University and college students: Students in computer science, software engineering, AI and ML, data science, or related fields.
