Table Stakes Software

We build tools that get out of your way.

At Table Stakes Software, our mission is simple:

Eliminate administrative friction so the people running events, leagues, and communities can focus on what actually matters. We design software that is calm, reliable, and genuinely useful.

Tools that do their job without demanding attention.

Our Principles

Privacy first. We believe the people using our software have a right to control their own data. We architect with minimal collection, strong isolation, and clear data lifecycles from day one, never as an afterthought.

AI in service of the operator. We leverage AI where it earns its place: simplifying decisions, surfacing insights, and reducing repetitive work. We do not use AI as a feature checkbox. Every integration is evaluated against whether it genuinely reduces burden on the user.

Advanced infrastructure, invisible to the user. Real-time systems, containerized workloads, and cloud-native deployments are the standard operating environment for our products. We invest in infrastructure rigor so our users never have to think about it.

Simplicity as a design constraint. Every screen, every workflow, and every interaction is reviewed against one question: is this the simplest thing that fully solves the problem? If the answer is no, we redesign. Complexity is a defect.

What We Build

Our products are designed for the real world. Busy organizers, recurring events, and operating environments where things need to just work.

TableStakes PTM — Poker Tournament Manager

PTM is our flagship product. It is a full-stack tournament management platform built for the people running poker nights, charity events, and competitive series. It handles everything from the moment a tournament starts to the final payout report: blind timer, real-time player state, buy-in tracking, re-buys, add-ons, and multi-round event management.

PTM demonstrates our design principles in practice:

  • Real-time, not polling: The TV view and manager console connect to dedicated resources and use a persistent connection. No page refreshes, no lag.
  • Privacy-scoped data: Every role sees exactly what it needs and nothing more. Spectator views see only basic tournament stats; critical tournament detail are gated behind manager authentication. Privacy is enforced before a single bit leaves the app.
  • Operator-grade reliability: Each tournament runs in its own isolated container. A failure in one event cannot affect another. Your data and your game stay protected regardless of what else is happening on the platform.
  • Zero friction at game time: The interface is designed for a manager who is also playing — large tap targets, one-tap actions, no confirmation loops for common actions.

Roadmap Direction

We are building toward a connected ecosystem of tools that serve the full lifecycle of competitive events — before, during, and after game night. Our roadmap prioritizes the operator experience, expands Pro subscriber capabilities, and introduces new ways for communities to organize and track the games they love.

Details are shared with partners and subscribers first.

Licensing

Most repositories in this organization are proprietary. Source code is maintained for internal development, partner integrations, and authorized contributors.

Some projects are released under open-source licenses — see each repository's LICENSE file for the terms that apply. Where a LICENSE file specifies an open-source license (such as Apache 2.0), those terms govern that repository.
