# 💡 Food for thought: Making the "Badge Journey" visible for the little ones!

First off, a massive congrats on the complete rewrite of the badges feature! I know that starting from scratch like that is a huge undertaking, but the result is night and day. It’s much more robust and the logic feels spot on. Serious kudos for the hard work! 🚀

Now that the foundation is so solid, I’ve been watching the kids interact with the system and I think we have a cool opportunity to keep them even more hooked (in a good way!).

The "Are we there yet?" Problem 🚗

Right now, badges like the "10 Perfect Weeks" are a great reward, but they kind of appear out of nowhere. Neither the kids nor I can see the actual path already traveled. It’s a bit like hiking without a map: you know there's a trophy at the end, but you don't know how many miles are left!

The Idea: Visualizing the Effort

I'd love to find a way to show the "road to the badge." Seeing something like "7/10 weeks done – almost there!" would be a huge motivation booster for them to finish their chores.

Since I know you're always looking for the cleanest way to integrate features, I wanted to bounce some ideas off you before even thinking about a formal feature request:

• A dedicated "Quest" card? A Lovelace card showing upcoming reachable badges with progress bars.
• Existing card upgrade? Adding a tiny "progress towards next level" indicator (e.g., Silver Level: 80%) on the current Streaks or Points cards.
• A bit of encouragement? A dynamic motivational message when they are close to a milestone.

What’s your take on this? Now that you've rebuilt the engine, do you think there’s a "Taskmate-way" to visualize this progress without cluttering the UI?
