ChainPresence AI

Monorepo (pnpm workspace) for the ChainPresence AI hackathon project.

• chain/ — Solidity smart contracts (Hardhat + TypeScript), deployed to Sepolia testnet.
• next/ — Next.js frontend (TypeScript, Tailwind, App Router).
• docs/ — project.md (spec) and design.md (design notes).

Prerequisites

• Node.js v20+ (tested on v22)
• pnpm v9+ — install with: npm install -g pnpm
• git

Setup

git clone <repo-url>
cd ChainPresence
pnpm install

If pnpm prompts about ignored build scripts, run:

pnpm approve-builds

select all, approve.

Running the frontend locally

pnpm dev

Open the printed URL — usually http://localhost:3000

Working with contracts (chain/)

pnpm compile          # compile contracts
pnpm deploy:sepolia   # deploy to Sepolia (needs chain/.env — see chain/.env.example)

Copy chain/.env.example to chain/.env and fill in SEPOLIA_RPC_URL and PRIVATE_KEY before deploying. Never commit .env.

Notes

• Always use pnpm, not npm, in this repo — it's a pnpm workspace.
• next/ and chain/ are independent packages sharing one lockfile at the root.
