Deleted: .github/workflows/main-source-guard.yml; release-sync's 'Mark release as passing the main source guard' step and its statuses: write permission. documentation corrected: tools/release/README.md. tools/release/protect-main.sh now prints/applies option B (PR required, 0 reviews, no force-push/deletion, unlocked, admins-only merge). tools/release/test-sync-release.sh passes.
