FIDD (Ferramenta Inteligente de Detecção de Danos) is my Android app that turns your phone into a pothole detector. Just drive: the phone senses the impact, GPS marks the exact spot, and reports from different drivers add up to a collaborative, anonymous map of road damage.

  • 📳 Automatic detection: runs in the background with the screen locked, no need to touch the phone while driving
  • 🧠 Sensors + machine learning: tells a real pothole apart from braking, speed bumps, asphalt joints or the phone moving in its mount
  • 🗺️ Self-organizing live map: duplicate reports merge into a single point, confirmed once several drivers independently hit it
  • ✅ Community-driven lifecycle: reported → confirmed → fixed (by community vote) → recurring if it reopens within 90 days
  • 🏙️ City ranking: which cities have the most potholes, fix them fastest, or see them come back
  • 🔒 Private by design: no account, no login; the map shows where the problem is, never who reported it
