🎯 What: The generate function in python/truth_table_generator.py lacked tests to verify its generation of combinations and 2D arrays, making it vulnerable to regressions. I added tests using unittest to fill this testing gap.

📊 Coverage: The new tests cover:

  • Generating combinations for 1 variable.
  • Generating combinations for 2 variables.
  • Generating combinations for 3 variables, including correctly ordered combinations.
  • An edge case with an empty list of variables. (I also added a fix for this edge case to the generate function to return [[]] instead of throwing a SyntaxError).

Result: Test coverage improved with a dedicated file testing the row generator component, making it much more reliable.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 1822980541678600286 started by @tsainez

Adds unit tests for the `generate` function in `python/truth_table_generator.py` to ensure accurate output dimensions and content for varying numbers of inputs.
Modifies `generate` to safely handle the edge case of 0 variables (returning `[[]]`).
Adds ignore rules for `*.pyc` and `__pycache__` to `.gitignore`.
