fix(sdk): continue bounded activity and calendar windows - #1575
Bounded activity reads reported omissions without a way to fetch them, while calendar limits hid the matching population. Both now expose SDK-owned after continuation from the first page's clock. Calendar results distinguish matching, returned and remaining rows; summaries explicitly describe returned_rows, and counts-only Markdown explains how to fetch matching events. Both populated and empty pages retain recurrence-cap warnings.
Continuation preserves timestamp ties and refuses changed matching content. Fingerprints hash ordered canonical rows incrementally, retaining one row's serialization at a time. Digest activity separately hashes its full source events, so a patch change hidden by the output projection still invalidates the cursor. Queries retain their matching-row scan on each page and the existing recurrence caps; they do not persist an atomic cross-file snapshot.
Native activity and the calendar package share the SDK contract through CLI and MCP, with aligned types, flag discovery, shell completion and migration guidance. Context keeps its focus cursor separate from its calendar query. Activity --since guidance preserves arguments when correcting to --from and refuses conflicting lower bounds. Help/discovery ceilings remain unchanged; the intentional activity packet fixture is measured at 736 tokens with zero new headroom, within the existing 4,000-token answer ceiling.
PM owners: pm-gh1554, pm-gh1562. Linked tests, structured closure evidence, durable lessons and the current package-generated changelog are included.
The requested maintenance scope is also documented through PM: dependency/security inventory, daily-release provenance, recent Sentry/telemetry verification, and canonical open/unclaimed intake for #1576 and #1577. Every open issue has its corresponding PM-link comment.
Validation:
Complete local runtime suite before the final warning-rendering delta: 11,208 passed, 3 platform skips, exact 100% statements/branches/functions/lines with zero uncovered counts. The final delta passes 40 calendar/transport and 107 completion tests, including the same failing-before recurrence-warning control. Final hosted CI revalidates canonical coverage.
Full local pnpm quality:static passed on the preceding incremental-hashing revision. The final warning delta passes source/package contracts, SDK boundary, token budgets, graph/integrity assurance and governed mutation controls, but local SDK import and CLI startup gates retain qualified budget overruns. These failures are documented under existing pm-bj7rq0; no ceilings or qualification rules changed. The final exact-head hosted full static gate must independently pass before merge.
The identical 384 MiB logical-patch control exhausts the old implementation under a 192 MiB V8 old-generation limit; incremental hashing returns both bounded pages in an isolated child process.
SDK/CLI/MCP controls cover all four activity projections, tied events, hidden patch changes, stale/malformed cursors, page sizes and calendar completeness. A public-SDK Node-to-Bun probe preserves both cursor clocks; actual Zsh/Fish probes verify cursor discovery and argument shape.
Current security audit/alerts are clear. The already-published 2026.10.24 release passes npm/npx and Bun/bunx acceptance and both 13-step installed-agent journeys. The same-day guard skips another automatic release; these changes are intended for the next eligible daily release.
Bind producer pages to the original evaluation clock, workspace, semantic
filters, projection and matching content. Preserve duplicate timestamp ties
with positional identities and refuse stale or malformed cursors rather than
silently skipping rows after concurrent changes.
Expose calendar matching and returned counts, remaining rows, page offsets
and explicit page-local summary scope. Share the public SDK behavior through
native activity and the calendar package's CLI and MCP paths. Keep context
focus cursors out of nested calendar reads and preserve since-to-from recovery.
Align shell completion, flag and tool contracts, generated error discovery,
SDK signature snapshots and migration documentation. Shorten activity help
within its original token ceiling while declaring exactly one continuation
flag. Include independent pre-fix failures, linked PM verification and closure,
operational evidence and the package-generated changelog for pm-gh1554 and
pm-gh1562.

📝 Summary
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added bounded, cursor-based pagination for activity and calendar results across the SDK, CLI, and MCP. Results include page position and matching, returned, and remaining counts; calendar summaries cover only the current page.
Activity queries retain a fixed time window during continuation, and bounded queries default to the current time as their upper limit. Shell completions now include the --after continuation option.
Bug Fixes
Continuation rejects cursors when matching content or query context has changed.
Activity commands now guide --since usage toward --from.
Documentation
Added guidance on pagination, fixed time windows, and empty or zero-limit calendar results.
Activity and calendar queries now support bounded cursor continuation and pagination metadata. The changes update CLI, SDK, and MCP contracts, documentation, completions, and tests. Project records also capture implementation evidence and operational observations.

Explanation
The PR meets the coding requirements for direct issues #1554 and #1562. For #1554, activity reads add SDK-owned after continuation anchored to the first page clock, preserve timestamp ties, reject changed matching content, and guide --since users to --from. For #1562, calendar results expose matching, returned, and remaining rows, provide bounded continuation, label summaries as returned_rows, and document fixed-window consistency limits. CLI, MCP, completion, documentation, and automated tests cover these behaviors.

Explanation
The PR includes changes that do not implement #1554 or #1562. The dependency and registry refresh records, trace and telemetry verification records, release-observation records, managed-extension timestamp, and intake records for #1576 and #1577 are unrelated maintenance or issue-management changes. The current PR description identifies this maintenance scope, but that does not connect the changes to the two directly linked issues.

Propagated continuation behavior across SDK, CLI, MCP, package, and contract surfaces.
Added activity and calendar after options to normalized SDK and CLI contracts, Commander registration, package flags, MCP tooling, and public-surface schemas.
Added CLI rendering and markdown continuation guidance, including stream-mode limitations and restart conditions.
Added activity --since recovery to --from while preserving existing help token budgets and completion output.
Provide bounded activity results with an opaque continuation cursor anchored to a fixed time window, so subsequent pages can retrieve omitted events without including later writes or skipping equal-timestamp events.
Expose calendar result completeness by reporting the total matching rows, rows returned, remaining omissions, and whether more rows are available, while clearly labeling summaries and day buckets as page-local.
Provide bounded calendar continuation to retrieve omitted rows, preserving the original query window and rejecting continuation when matching content has changed.
Make the calendar completeness and continuation contract available through the relevant SDK, CLI, and calendar presentation surfaces, with documentation and validation.

Correct activity Zsh continuation escaping and require one clean option per
physical completion line. A real Zsh argument probe verifies that after and
limit are separate arguments without stray slashes.
Treat window pagination as shared validation in generated error discovery,
then regenerate the built catalogue and contracts in dependency order.
Cover refusal of an unsafe since/from fallback directly in source tests.
Keep activity bootstrap discovery within its existing budget by advertising
limit, after and full while preserving complete compatibility contracts.
Rebaseline only the intentional activity result metadata cost at the measured
736 tokens with zero additional headroom; retain all other ratchets and the
global answer ceiling.
Render calendar counts-only pages truthfully and preserve the distinct empty
matching-set message. Extend the existing zero-limit regression accordingly.

Hash ordered canonical rows incrementally instead of constructing a complete
serialized matching set for every cursor page. Bind digest activity to a
separate fixed-size digest of its full source events, preserving refusal when
projected-away patch content changes.
Keep canonical property order, row order and unambiguous row boundaries.
Document the retained per-page matching-row scan and the largest-row bound on
additional serialization storage. Use canonical repository tracker URLs in the
packaged SDK guide and state that PM records are excluded from npm.
Add an isolated child-process control over 384 MiB of logical patch content
under a 192 MiB V8 old-generation limit. The previous implementation exhausts
the constrained heap; incremental hashing returns both pages. Cover hidden
patch mutation across all four activity projections and cross-runtime cursor
continuation from Node to Bun through the public SDK.
Record review remediation, linked evidence, full 11208-test exact coverage and
closure through pm, then generate and verify the changelog using pm-changelog.

Route counts-only and genuinely empty Markdown results through the shared
warning renderer before returning. Preserve existing empty messages and the
normal populated-day layout while disclosing recurrence caps alongside the
matching totals.
Extend the existing real recurrence-control fixture for both empty-page cases.
