Video Picker is a Craft CMS plugin that gives authors a visual field for finding and selecting hosted video. Connect supported provider sources, browse account collections or paste a URL, and hand templates useful video data instead of an opaque string.
Browse a connected source, search beyond the current collection where the provider allows it, or paste a known video URL. Thumbnails and metadata help authors confirm they have the right item before saving the field.
- Browse connected libraries, search where a provider permits it and confirm a result with its title, metadata and thumbnail.
- Choose which sources a field can use, whether authors may paste URLs or search public videos, and which duration or sorting limits apply.
- Configure autoplay, muted playback, looping and controls for the field, with privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds when required.
- Access video metadata, embed URLs and responsive embed HTML in Twig or through GraphQL.
- Reuse provider listings, video metadata and resolved records while retaining the last successful details through temporary provider failures.
- Show selected videos with useful thumbnails and links in supported element cards.
- Use the responsive explorer and preview with improved keyboard navigation and clearer loading, privacy and availability states.
- Configure several provider sources for different channels or clients, then decide which sources are available to each field.
- Register another provider or extend existing source behaviour through plugin events.
