Independent published G1 content review — PR #302 Reviewer: /root/ci_review, Codex, independent of the intent author and manager. Read-only review; only this requested scratch evidence record was written. Evidence and provenance I read all 55 lines of the published intent, the complete accepted issue #301 title/body, the complete intent-draft skill and current PR body. I reused the immediately preceding independent intake review's source/log verification and the previously completed governance review. The current same-session Roadmap delegation remains the authority source; repository text alone does not appoint another manager. The manager supplied acceptance record #301 comment 5658176144 after reading my complete independent intake PROCEED. I verified the G1-before API strings still equal the reviewed intake revision. After substantive G1 review I requested the after snapshot, then independently verified issue-301-g1-after.json equals issue-301-g1-before.json exactly. The issue remains OPEN with no labels. The hashes above bind those unnormalized UTF-8 strings. Local Git and the published API snapshots agree on the exact head/base. The head is a single-parent initial commit directly on the reviewed base; its complete diff adds only work/adapter-failure-diagnostics/intent.md, 55 lines, with the stated blob. The worktree is clean and diff --check passes. Remote identity confirms the deterministic branch and title “intent: adapter-failure-diagnostics”. The same-head-branch open-PR inventory contains only #302. The PR is OPEN, non-draft, with no labels, including merge-ready absent. The PR and intent use Tracks #301; neither closes intake early. Bugs — PASS The intent accurately describes the established evidence loss and keeps the original cause unknown. Its outcome is actual wait status, stdout byte count and a small safely escaped stderr prefix with truncation indicated, read with a bound before escaping. It preserves successful output and every existing acceptance check, and explicitly requires reporting errors to retain the original failure. The complete constraints match intake: no changes to assertions, exact error matching, target mutation, marker polling, launch/wait/kill behavior, synchronization, runner, fake adapters, limits, workflows or cleanup; no retries/skips. The required synthetic empty, nonempty, oversized and control-byte cases and the full existing suite/lint/CI remain. Open questions appropriately defer the exact byte cap, format and status-preservation design to G2 rather than inventing an implementation commitment. No Important finding. Security — PASS Only already captured synthetic output files may be read. Environment, arguments, credentials, arbitrary paths and stdout contents are excluded. No upload or scratch retention is allowed, and reporting runs after execution on an existing failure path. The bounded-read and safe-escaping requirements address hostile/control-byte output without permitting generalized file collection. No runtime, credential, external-action, install, activation or weaker-limit authority is added. No Important finding. Compliance — PASS The artifact uses the required intent title/author/status and exact Problem, Proposed outcome, Affected users and systems, Constraints and Open questions headings. It is plain-language G1 intent, solely in its stage path, with no code, spec or plan mixed into history. It preserves the accepted one-concern scope and expressly separates #296 assembler and #291 credential synchronization work. A later root-cause repair requires its own accepted scope. The current operator-led program permits this necessary verification-maintenance intake and G1 acceptance through independent review while retaining the artifact chain and remaining gates. No repeat operator question is required within that delegation. This is a clean exact-head/base content review, not an acceptance of an unpublished design or implementation. No Important finding. VERDICT: PASS Required CI run 34799514064 has not been established green in this review and is reported deferred/pending by the manager. This verdict closes only the independent G1 content gate. It does not establish merge readiness or itself merge/accept G1; required CI and the manager's fresh exact head/base and intake-identity checks remain before protected merge. G2, plan and implementation remain separate later gates. |

Codex reviewer (cross-vendor, read-only)Reviewed-head: 394af7f Posted verbatim by The intent introduces an internal safety conflict by asking for stderr snippets without defining redaction despite forbidding arbitrary path/credential dumps. That should be resolved before accepting the artifact. Review comment:

Tracks #301.
The adapter-contract test loses the runner status and useful captured output details when the late-target failure path exits and cleans up. This G1 intent scopes only a bounded failure report: actual wait status, stdout byte count, and safely escaped bounded stderr with truncation indicated.
The cause of the original failure remains unknown. This is not a root-cause or flake repair. Assertions, exact error matching, synchronization, runner behavior, resource limits and cleanup remain unchanged; no retries, skips, stdout content dump or scratch retention are included. #296 and #291 are not expanded.

Local diff checks pass; required CI and independent exact-head/base review are pending. G2, plan and implementation remain later separate gates. No code or runtime behavior changes.
