chore(release): prepare 1.1.0, with a universal macOS disk image - #13
Conversation
cpal reports a buffer underrun or overrun as a stream error, and every stream error released the engine, which stopped the track with "audio device error: A buffer underrun or overrun occurred." CoreAudio raises one whenever the process stalls; macOS stalls it while it checks a new app on its first launch, so the first play after installing failed. The stream recovers from an xrun by itself: it is now logged at debug and playback carries on. Checked on macOS 26 by suspending the player three times mid-track.
The release builds the arm64 and x86_64 binaries, joins them with lipo, and packaging/macos/bundle.sh wraps the result in "WaveFlow QuickPlay.app" (Info.plist, WaveFlow's icon, the licence), signs it ad hoc and puts it in a .dmg with a link to /Applications, with its SHA-256 next to it. Ad hoc is what WaveFlow Desktop's macOS build uses without a Developer ID: the bundle is sealed with a stable identity, and Gatekeeper asks once. macOS 11 is the floor of both the binary and the plist. CI now also runs on macOS, where the macOS-only code (the Info.plist version reader among it) had never been compiled. No document types are declared: egui-winit does not deliver Finder's "open documents" event, so a file opened from Finder would land in an empty player. --register says so on macOS.
Version 1.1.0, its notes in docs/releases/v1.1.0.md, the screenshots retaken with the shorter title bar and the repeat and shuffle buttons, and the docs brought up to date: macOS install and its Gatekeeper step, the platform badges, waveflow-core's role, QUICKPLAY_WAVEFLOW, the .rpm and .dmg in the release and issue templates.

Finder does not put a file on the command line: it sends an "open documents" Apple event, which AppKit hands to the application delegate as application:openURLs:. winit 0.30 installs its own delegate, panics if it is replaced and does not answer that selector, so src/macos.rs builds the event loop itself, adds the method to winit's WinitApplicationDelegate class through the Objective-C runtime before the loop runs, and hands the loop to eframe with create_native. The paths are queued and taken by the app as a `play` hand-over: the queue is replaced, a multi-selection arrives in one piece, a file opened at launch arrives before the first frame. The Info.plist declares the audio formats by extension, ranked Alternate as WaveFlow Desktop does, so Finder lists QuickPlay under Open With (DSF and DFF included, not .lrc, not .mp4). --register on macOS now says there is nothing to do and exits 0. Checked on macOS 26.6 (M2) with the universal bundle out of the dmg: NSWorkspace lists it for FLAC, DSF, M4A, MP3, Opus, Ogg and WAV; a cold launch with a file plays it; two files sent to the running app replace the queue; the Open With API (NSWorkspace.open withApplicationAt) plays the file; Quit from AppleScript saves the settings and exits. From the review: the error callback only counts xruns (on ALSA it runs on the stream's own thread) and the UI thread logs them; the ad-hoc signing comments and the macOS install text no longer promise a stable identity or a one-time prompt (each downloaded version is blocked once, Open Anyway in System Settings from macOS 15); the notes and README give the handoff floor as 2.0.0-beta.1; the release workflow pins checkout, upload-artifact and download-artifact to their commit SHAs (the same commits as their current major tags).

The paths of every application:openURLs: call went into one list and through the burst rule meant for Explorer's one process per selected file, so opening B from Finder within half a second of A (or of a command-line launch) appended B to A's queue. Each call is now kept as its own batch, and each batch clears the queue and plays, without the burst rule; a Finder multi-selection already arrives as one call. Checked on macOS 26.6: DSF then M4A opened back to back leaves the M4A alone in the queue, playing. README: --register after hand-copying the binary concerns Windows and Linux only.

Folders are expanded on a thread and their files queued when the result comes back. A clear in between (a new play from Finder or from a second launch, the Clear button) left the old scan's files to be appended to the new queue. clear() now bumps a scan generation, each scan carries the one it was requested in, and a result from an older one is dropped. Scans requested without a clear in between are all still added. Checked on Windows by playing a track from a second launch while the first launch was still walking a slow folder over \localhost: before, the folder's file joined the new queue (Next enabled); now the track is alone.

After an output error the engine is replaced and its counter starts at zero, while xruns_logged kept the old total until the next frame realigned it, so the first xruns of the new engine could go unlogged. It is reset when the engine is installed.

"Play with WaveFlow QuickPlay" and "Add to WaveFlow QuickPlay playlist" become "Play with QuickPlay" and "Add to QuickPlay playlist", in the eight languages and in both Linux desktop entries, as the title bar did: the WaveFlow logo sits beside them. The application's own name, which Open With lists and the about block shows, stays "WaveFlow QuickPlay". The installer's --register rewrites the labels of an existing install.
Prepares 1.1.0: the version, the release notes, a macOS release signed ad hoc, a fix found while testing it, and the docs brought up to date. Nothing is tagged; the tag comes after the merge, when you decide.
Release notes
docs/releases/v1.1.0.mdcovers everything since 1.0.0 (#4, #5, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12 and this PR): the macOS app, repeat and shuffle, Continue in WaveFlow (hidden until WaveFlow 2.0), paced lyric lines, the shorter title bar, the DSD hiss, the Explorer menu order, slow files no longer freezing the controls, and decoding throughwaveflow-core.macOS release
macosjob inrelease.yml: arm64 and x86_64 builds joined withlipo, thenpackaging/macos/bundle.shmakesWaveFlow QuickPlay.app, signs it ad hoc, wraps it inwaveflow-quickplay_<version>_macos-universal.dmgwith an Applications link, and writesSHA256SUMS-macos.txt.publishwaits for it;linux_onlyskips it like the Windows job.application:openURLs:). winit 0.30 installs its own delegate and panics if it is replaced, sosrc/macos.rsbuilds the event loop, adds the method toWinitApplicationDelegatethrough the Objective-C runtime, and hands the loop to eframe withcreate_native. The files replace the queue like Play with on Windows. Finder has no per-app menu entries, so there is no Add to playlist on macOS.--registerexplains this and exits 0.macos-latest. The macOS-only code had never been compiled before.Fix found on the Mac
On the first launch of a new build, macOS stalls the process while it checks the app. CoreAudio then reports an xrun, which QuickPlay took for a lost device: the engine was released and the track stopped with "A buffer underrun or overrun occurred". An xrun is now logged and playback carries on.
