A cached core layering test fails with NotFound after its original temporary checkout is removed because it stores an absolute CARGO_MANIFEST_DIR filename. Embed the manifest being tested while preserving the dependency assertions. For the explicit infrastructure fixture, resolve the current runtime checkout because Compose files must remain on disk.
The corrected layering test and its compiled artifact both pass, including standalone invocation from an empty directory with a nonexistent CARGO_MANIFEST_DIR. fmt and diff checks pass. Full platform CI is pending; no transport, wire or infrastructure acceptance change is claimed. Depends on #120.
