Summary

  • Every Qdrant point in both collections gets charted_at: the UTC day its show was last seen on a chart. Stage 6 keeps the dates current, new points get the day they are embedded, and stamp-charted-at.js stamps the existing points once.
  • Nothing deletes by this date yet; the cleanup's 7-day rule is unchanged.

Motivation

  • Vectors should be kept 90 days after a show leaves the charts, while catalog rows keep today's 7-day lifetime. A show's catalog row and its state record (the cleanup's chart clock) are gone after 7 days, so the date has to live on the points themselves.

What changed

  • lib/charted-at.js: groups shows by their last chart day (state shows[id].s) into batches of 500, and sets charted_at by filter only on points with no date or one more than CHARTED_AT_REFRESH_DAYS (default 7) older than the show's. Dates only move forward, and a charting show's points are rewritten about once a week. Each batch is counted first, so the report shows how many points needed a date; a failed call is counted and the rest continue.
  • 06-cleanup-non-chart.js: after updating the chart clocks, stamps every show it keeps (shows about to be deleted are skipped) and adds the result to the run report. Best-effort: a failure never blocks the cleanup. Creates the integer charted_at index on both collections.
  • 04-vectorize-episodes.js, 05-vectorize-shows.js: new points carry charted_at for the day they are embedded.
  • stamp-charted-at.js: one pass over the catalog's shows; --dry counts only. Changes no state, catalog row or vector, and can be stopped and run again.
  • lib/qdrant.js: setPayloadByFilter. lib/config.js: CHARTED_AT_REFRESH_DAYS.
  • Tests: lib/charted-at.test.js (day rounding, batching, the filter, counting and writing, dry runs, failed calls). scripts/README.md describes both.

Behavior & compatibility

  • Payload-only: point IDs, vectors and every other field stay as they are. The Worker doesn't read charted_at.
  • Dry run on the runner's live data: 853,839 episode points and 48,331 show points need a date, 101 batches, 43 s to count.

Added

  • Catalog sync: every episode and show vector records the day its show was last on a chart (charted_at), kept current by the cleanup and set on new vectors; stamp-charted-at.js dates the existing ones.

Test plan

  • npm run test:sync --prefix scripts: 201 tests pass
  • stamp-charted-at.js --dry against the runner's catalog, state and Qdrant
  • Required checks are green before merge

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Catalog entries now record the UTC day they were last charted, helping keep chart freshness information available for shows and episodes.
    • Existing entries can be updated when their chart date is missing or more than seven days out of date. If an update fails, catalog cleanup continues.
  • Documentation
    • Updated the catalog reference with details about chart-date tracking and its current use.

The sync pipeline now adds UTC chart dates to points and refreshes missing or stale dates for retained shows. A configurable refresh interval and a one-time stamping script are also added.

Changes: Chart-date stamping

Layer / File(s) Summary
Stamp planning and Qdrant updates
scripts/sync/lib/charted-at.js, scripts/sync/lib/config.js, scripts/sync/lib/qdrant.js, scripts/sync/lib/charted-at.test.js, scripts/package.json
The helper groups valid shows by UTC chart day, selects points with missing or stale dates, and updates matching Qdrant payloads. The refresh interval is configurable and defaults to seven days. Tests cover batching, filtering, dry runs, and failures.
Stamp sync points and retained shows
scripts/sync/04-vectorize-episodes.js, scripts/sync/05-vectorize-shows.js, scripts/sync/06-cleanup-non-chart.js
Stages 4 and 5 add the current UTC day to new point payloads. Stage 6 stamps retained shows before cleanup and includes the result in cleanup summaries. Stamp failures do not block cleanup.
One-time stamping job
scripts/sync/stamp-charted-at.js, scripts/README.md
The script reads catalog IDs and chart-day state to stamp points. With --dry, it counts matching points without writing. The README documents the job and pipeline behavior.

The stamping job may need its index created before a useful dry run, and some off-chart shows can receive an incorrect last-charted date. Correct the date source before relying on this field.

Full details: Architecture Compliance

Explanation

The PR changes only scripts/ files. ARCHITECTURE.md defines the checked dependency, DI, composition-root, and identity/storage rules for the Android app and its Gradle modules. The diff adds a Qdrant payload field and sync tooling; it changes no Android module dependencies, feature imports, repositories, AppContainer graph, or Android identity/storage contract.

Full details: Module Readme Updated

Explanation

The pull-request diff changes only files under scripts/. It changes no production Kotlin under app/src/main/, core/<module>/src/main/, or feature/<module>/src/main/, so the matching-module README condition does not apply.

Full details: Jvm Tests For Changed Logic

Explanation

This check is not applicable. The pull request changes JavaScript sync scripts and adds Node tests for scripts/sync/lib/charted-at.js. The diff does not add or change JVM production logic such as an engine, repository, ViewModel, or helper under logic/.

Full details: Unresolved Review Threads

Explanation

Two current-review findings remain outstanding. Both have Severity: Minor: one concerns the dry-run count path in scripts/sync/stamp-charted-at.js, and one concerns grace-start dates in scripts/sync/06-cleanup-non-chart.js. They have not been posted, so no discussion-resolution state applies; the supplied review context says to treat them as outstanding. No posted CodeRabbit review threads were returned.

Resolution

Before merge, fix both findings and mark them resolved, or explicitly dismiss each with a short rationale. Verify that no other review threads remain unresolved.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 57.14% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff. Analyzed 14 functions across 8 files. (2 skipped: 2 unsupported.)

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

- Around line 174-176: Update the Stage 6 grace branch so it stores the
grace-start day separately from rec.s, which must remain reserved for chart
sightings; ensure stampChartedAt only receives chart-sighting dates. Check other
rec.s readers, including runCapTrim, and adjust them to preserve grace handling
without treating grace-only shows as charted.

Review comments at @scripts/sync/stamp-charted-at.js:
- Around line 44-46: Keep dry mode read-only by checking whether the charted_at
index exists before stamp() counts points with chartedAt.FIELD; if it is
missing, stop the dry-run count path with a message naming the missing index and
the command to create it.
