Summary

Fix the Fumadocs peer dependency mismatch that caused the Netlify docs build to fail during dependency installation.

The failed docs deployment (6adf6c182569d945284011d8) reported npm ERR! ERESOLVE unable to resolve dependency tree: it resolved fumadocs-core@16.15.18, while fumadocs-mdx@15.4.9 requires peer fumadocs-core@^16.17.0. The existing fumadocs-ui alias to @fumadocs/base-ui@16.15.18 also has an exact peer on core 16.15.18.

Change

  • Pin fumadocs-core and the existing fumadocs-ui alias to the minimum coherent published pair, 16.17.0.
  • Keep fumadocs-mdx@15.4.9; do not downgrade the patch.
  • Regenerate the docs lockfile with npm. This corrects its root fumadocs-mdx drift from 15.4.6 to 15.4.9 and resolves dependency changes required by the updated Fumadocs package ranges.

Validation

  • Registry metadata confirms fumadocs-mdx@15.4.9 requires core ^16.17.0, and @fumadocs/base-ui@16.17.0 requires core exactly 16.17.0. Next 16.3.8 and React 19.2.8 satisfy the published peers.
  • mise exec -- npm install --package-lock-only --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund --strict-peer-deps passed.
  • NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=4096 mise exec -- npm ci --strict-peer-deps --no-audit --no-fund passed under Node 24.21.0 / npm 11.19.0 (257 packages). npm warned that esbuild@0.28.2 and fsevents@2.3.3 install scripts are not covered by allowScripts; no override was added. The installed esbuild executable ran and reported 0.28.2.
  • NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=4096 mise exec -- npm run build passed: TypeScript passed and 112/112 static pages were generated using 11 workers. Existing warnings: Next inferred the repo root from the root and docs lockfiles, no build cache was present, and CSS parsing warned on two Fumadocs ::highlight(fd-search) selectors.
  • Static HTTP smoke passed for / and /docs/managing-providers/manage-providers; both returned 200 with expected titles and the provider page heading. Referenced CSS and JS assets returned 200.
  • Parent's Chrome check passed homepage light/dark theme, provider docs content, search, and navigation to Provider Options. Evidence: /tmp/devsy-docs-fumadocs-browser-evidence.json.
  • Scoped prek on the two changed JSON files passed. Pre/post SHA-256 values were unchanged: package.json ef266aecbc93b43fcef1d9c9ee63a5341abe00bb20ce8f151f7497c54b18fd0a; package-lock.json 2a663fa6980507e0630e8408ba63a0ab6e5a6413dc4fdf483b853c9f6646b5cc.
  • NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=4096 mise exec -- npm run check-links passed: 0 errored file, 0 errors.
