Pull request overview
Adds two major design documents capturing the intended protocols and trust boundaries for (1) federated, TUF-authenticated Reploy repositories (blueprints + portable tools) and (2) controlled execution sessions (host-owned, capability-scoped sessions over a framed protocol). It also updates existing planning docs to reflect these decisions and queue follow-up implementation work.

docs/FUTURE_DIRECTIONS.mdanddocs/BACKLOG.mdto align future work and near-term priorities with the new designs.
