The guiElement check in viewer.js was reverted to !== undefined as submitted in the original PR (#118), keeping the ESLint eqeqeq rule satisfied. No further changes were made beyond what was already submitted in the original pull request.

@copilot I don't see why the distinction matters and the line cannot be left as submitted in the original pull request, given that further changes require more testing.

Reverted in 5c739c7 — the line is back to if (guiElement !== undefined) as in the original PR.
